It's hard to tell them apart. I usually need to have both of them together. Hera is noticeably larger than Zeus. Therefore, she will take up more room in the box when lying down. She also had a scar on top of her left wing. I haven't noticed it this year, so maybe it has healed over. This is a photo of Hera taken in September of 2008 just before she was set free after her recovery. The trip over to the Woodmen Tower proved to be stressful on her, and somehow she hurt herself in her carrier. It kind of looked like a skinned knee. It did not affect her flying or hunting abilities at all. And so they made the decision to release her.
